old gibbs popper copy

got a beater from a flea market...love the look of the face...never thrown one, we used atomsI got to put some lead in it its only a oz...white ceder...7 inches

I heard back in the day sharpys liked to naw that bottom point off.. don't know .. never fished one...

The biggest fish stiil to this day ever taken on a plug in the canal was on one of Stan's 4-1/2 oz. Castalure poppers in blue. I beleive it was in the late fifties and the guys name was Machado.

I'm looking at the picture in Ivanoff's book. Frank Machado's 63 pounder. That's the plug, looks like a mackeral pattern

floated it

floats up and down with 1/2 inch sticking out...I got it at a f. market and its screweyes were junk..I tried to slowly take them out and broke 3looks like a good popper for the bandsaw
