This makes me wonder

I was working at the hockey arena the other day for my school in upstate ny and my buddy that I was working the door with asked me this out of the blue:

"Ever wonder why you ask a penny for your thoughts but always give your two cents?"

I have been speechless since. How did people screw this one up when it was invented My head is still spinning trying to think of the right answer

Arrow just means

people have twice as much to say verbally

than what they are thinking...

it makes up for those that don't answer at all
