Absolutely false. I had quite a few mid to high 30# fish last year on Suffix bright yellow braid.
No boat, back in the suds.

I used some fireline in yellow last fall.I like the extra visiblity when I can see it.I really don't think it cost me any fish..

It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..

I also use Suffix yellow braid with fluorocarbon leaders nooooo problem.
