Rod building Seminars?
Does any one know of any rod building seminars or how-to sessions coming up some time soon?
Thanks.

Pretty late in the off season for seminars. We've done them here in the past with M&D's Bait & Tackle but we did not get one done this year.
CMS sometimes does them but I think they are probably done by now...

Thank you JohnR and wfmdfm. I will mark my calendar for 01-Dec-2008 to start researching this.

Classes and Seminars are great. But if timing doesn't work out for you some of the basic books have more than enough info to get you started on making first class rods. I liked the the thin paperback by Tom Kirkman I think called rod building. Short and sweet.....

beamie,
Thank you for the book reference.
I did some searching. I found a book by Tom K. titled: "Rod Building Guide: Fly, Spinning, Casting, Trolling". It got outstanding reviews.

Fish360,
You were given good info on Kirkman's book. You can learn alot from it. Where do you live? Sometimes a shop will give some private lessons if they aren't too busy. I'm in Southern Maine and would happy to help you if you close enough to me.
