Vineyard Beach Permit?

Hi guys,
Whats the going rate for beach permit on the vineyard. Does is vary town to town or does one permit cover the whole place? I am moving there in June and I am collecting important info.

Two stickers. The Trustees' for Wasque and Cape Pogue, and the Dukes County for what's left of Norton's Point beach. And, since it's no longer possible to reach Chappy over Norton's Point due to the breach, IMO the Dukes County sticker is a waste of money.

South Beach is driveable in the offseason, and at night, without a permit. It gets very tight in places, so be careful.

Sure is.... and don't try to go out one South Beach w/o a permit during the day either. There is a guy that rides a beach 4X4 and will come hauling after you and give you a nice ticket. Have seen it happen... And he always comes out of NOWHERE ----->

I'm ambivalent about the Dukes permit for Norton Point breach for this upcoming 2008 season. You cannot get to the Wasque Rip because of the breach.

Also, they close the beachbetween the hours of midnight and 6 AM or so. They wouldn't allow me to spend a pleasant solo overnighter out there on a high summer night. I believe this restriction is relaxed after the summer tourist season and during the derby.

God, I just hate being regimented when I'm on the beach! Same with crowds, too.
