Vintage Honey Lamiglas 8' Spinning Rod

Honey Lamiglas custom built spinning rod. Nice rod.... I got it from the original owner who believes he had it wrapped at Erickson's which I think was in Cranston, RI(??). In excellent condition. First two guides are wire, rest are Fuji. Fuji reel seat. Must have been wrapped in the late 70s or 80s. All original. $55 picked up in RI. One piece.

What's the blank number? Do you know what the rating is?

I may be interested - is it on the stiff side?

No way of telling the blank number... covered or missing. I'd guess it's good at least to 3 oz. Yes, I'd consider it on the stiff side... definitely not soft. Nice rod, I just don't use it.

You said the first two guides are wire - do you think they've been replaced recently or are they original? It's hard to tell from the photos.

What size are the gathering guides?

I'm not a rod builder, but all the wraps match and look original and untouched. The first guide is 2 3/16" across and the second is 1 1/2". All wraps are old school variegated thread.Click image for larger version
