Preferred hook for live lining pogies

Did really well this weekend (for me anyway), 13 Blue Fish and 5 Bass (all keepers released and biggest was 41"). I did loose 2 bigger fish (and a bunch of smaller fish) the 2 big fish stayed down deep and wouldn't budge and I ended up loosing them after a good 5-6 min fight on 60 lb test. It made me think I might be using the wrong size hook and placement of the hook on the pogie could be wrong (through dorsal). Not complaining but I did loose the 2 biggest fish of the day and I can stop thinking about it. What is your favorite hook to use when live lining pogies?

Sorry to hear about the dropped fish. If your hooks were not pulling or straightening, it's not the hooks .

I was afraid it was me I also think I might have had the drag too tight and that might have been part of it.

Oh no, sorry, Lost the fish but not the hook. Had the bigger fish on for a while and then bang, dropped him, reeled up and had all my gear, just no fish. Line didn't break or anything.

Sounds like you may have the drag set too tight, and just ripping the hook out of the fishes' mouths . If you're not near any obstructions, let 'em run a little to wear themselves out.
