Over the Sand Vehicle Permit

OK. Newbie question.

My wife spends almost the entire summer in Dennis with her Grandmother and the two kids(8 and 5).

I have always wanted to take the truck f-250 or Jeep Cherokee on the sand. I know I need a permit.

What are the steps I need to take? Can I be towing a small homemade trailer? a little 4x8 trailer? To go on the CCN Seashore, anything I need to know. Or maybe some one wants to take me under their wing and show me the ropes? Beer and chicken wings could be involved. Or beer and burgers, or beer and whatever....

Mike

Or just point me in the right direction. I am sure someone else has posted this before, but couldnt find it.

MIke,

Every beach has different access restrictions/requirements. You might want to Google (not sure if I can post it here) Massachusetts Beach Buggy Association. Their site is very informative and has all the various beaches you can drive on down the cape and further.

Good luck....I stopped when they started charging $180 and closing the beach for, pretty much, the whole summer
