Tautog Trip on Saturday - Striper Talk Striped Bass Fishing, Surfcasting, Boating

Just wanted to let everyone know that DRUMCORPFAN and I are going out on the Frances Fleet on Saturday for tautog if anyone is interested. The boat is first come, first serve so get there early if you want a spot. If you want more info about the trip, check out www.francesfleet.com

Kippy, how'd you guys do? I was on the beach early (nuttin) and had too much to do later. Looked like the wind was picking up when I left

Hi Bill,

The trip was terrible. The wind started to kick up a couple hours into the trip making it impossible to fish. I think there were 2 or 3 keepers total caught for the whole boat with about 10 fish caught total. The captain ended up cutting the trip short around 12 because of the weather. There were only 15 people on the boat so everyone received a $25 credit for another trip. I'm glad I didn't throw in the $5 for the pool.

After this trip I am definitely done for the year. How many days untill everyone starts fishing again?
