Which ONE is more likely to be TRUE,,,,,,,,,,,

since the wife absconded the digital, i've only got
this to show for last night's festivities until she returns:

interestingly enuff, my glory hole ~~no mystery!

however, here's where i could borrow from sum of the wily veterans out there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

third cast, BIG TAKE w/ a live eeeeeeel,
i set the hook and i'm into a better than average fish ~~
for me anyways. i'm guessing around the high 30#'s.

after the second RUN she sounds and hunkers down very close to me.
so i put the boots to her a bit and she starts to move TO me.
i figure that it's early, but WTF, if she's ready,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i am also??

she goes straight for the ledge that's at my feet and bumps the hook
with her nose and, "POP, goes the gammi!!" ~eeeeel and everything else in tact.
mind you, i helped this one out by hooking the eeel a scoatsh too deep ~with not nearly enuff barb exposed~
and i tightened the drag prematurely, DADGUMMMITT

NOW, it's two casts and within 15 mins later, smaller take but sizeable, livelier eel (hooked right, this time) cast to within feet of the previous take and Fish AWWWN, again!! only this time, i land a nice 30#'er (43", weighed at GLCSTR, a belly full of bugs).

so here's my question for the resident sharp ONES.
which ONE of the following is more likely to have occurred, based upon yer years in the surf?:

a) the same striper puttin' on the feeeed bag
b) a smaller one of several yrmates all stacked up
c) am i imagining the "nose bump trick", because i've seen many 34"~ 36"+ stripers dislodge/attempt to dislodge hooks the same way for the past coupla years from Rhody to Cowhampshire, i think

any thoughts, gents? thanks in advance for your expertise!
