Well, I was jigging all night with some Ronz and skin jigs catching some really nice fish. Didn't catch anything less than 20lbs. Really nice fish around compared to the last 3 nights at this one location. Yesterday, I decided to grab some eels for when the tide slacks up and this is what came from it. I haven't fished eels in a few years as I mostly jig, but things may change after this morning. Fished from 2am to 7am.

Wow, nice fish! What size/weight Ronz are good for jigging in the canal? I just bought some 3oz.

ok , I take it the "canal" is in the cape. how do I get there from I-195. I am not catching anything worth mentioning except from Fishers and I need a new place bring some family in a week or two. Obviously this is the place to go. This... damn I cant even speak about the success everyone is seeming to have there, looks like a Have To Go To Spot, damn I'm jealous

It's what's under that bridge you cross, just before you get to the rotary on the other side.

You live in Narragansett and you've never heard of the Cape Cod Canal? Seriously?

Try putting in "scenic highway" Bourne MA into google maps to get a birdseye/satellite view.

Be aware it can be totally frustrating...it's not like the fish are there all the time. I'm 0 for 8 so far and late last year I met someone who was 0 for 11 (he also said he could catch freshwater fish all day w/o problems so he was even more frustrated than me ).
If you do go, bring good boots because you'll be balancing yourself on wet/seaweed covered rocks on the banks of the canal.

I've been reading SoCo in RI has been producing last week as well. Not sure if that's closer for you but I've never fished it...
