Curtain Call on the Hahbah
Hows the fishing been in the immediate Boston area waterways. Thinking about putting in some time over the weekend. Is it bust yet, or are any of you still catching? Are there any lingering bluefish?

I've been out and found plenty of pogies, but had a hard time finding keepers,
We're either in an in between time for runs or it's just slow.
I'm probably going to pull my boat out this weekend, and call it a season.

Night time to first light is the most consistent this week. In and around the rip has been the most productive. Freaking cold this morning in the yak! lol...I have not seen the all day feeds since last week. Hoping for another push. Rather fish daytime. Water temps 52 on the surface this morning.

Things have gone down hill for me in the Haba. Haven't hit the rip at night because of the plummeting night temps. I'm sure there is something lingering. Water temp hit 49 degrees yesterday afternoon. Nothing happening. I did however see the biggest surface blitz of the season yesterday afternoon. No, not on Saltwater...but Fresh water at the Mystic. lol

I fished sat night/sun morn this past weekend from Castle Island. That stiff north wind was brutal. Got down to a chilly 36. Nothing like cold feet and no action. I was going to hang it up for the season but I may give it one more try and it won't be at night. Coworker went last nite, said there are still a gang of choppers holed up in the power plant discharge in the reserve channel.

Not sure about this year but last year I took Halloween day off and fished the Harbor under sweet conditions. Was originally going south to RI but received some last minute intel that changed my mind. Pogies and big bass mostly to myself and only 2 other boats encountered the whole day.
Planning on doing it again this year so I'd get out there and give it a go.

Last year we had a push near the end of October and lasted till November. I'm hoping for some of that but it does look grim.

ive done alot of running around...the bait that was there, has since been seen leaving the harbor. a few miles out. im hoping after this weather we might get 1 last big school of bait. but im pretty confident in pulling my boat in the next few days that i wont be missing much.

either follow them down south, or break out the schoolie rods.
some of the best schoolie-peanut bunker blitzes happen around thanksgiving.
