Sorry guys, last year was the last SWE Fishing Show for a while. We're going out on top with that one; it was our best (in our opinion) and most attended ever.
When we moved into our new building this past year we were already thinking about taking everything from the show and more and moving it in house this year. I'll have a post soon with the list of classes and seminars that will be taking place throughout the entire winter at the shop. All your favorite speakers, fly tyers, plug builders, and more from the Fishing Show will be at the SWE over the winter and we'll be hosting our free tying classes too. Class sizes will be smaller, we have our parking lot plus one next door (sorry, no valet like at The Viking), and our entire product selection will be on hand unlike our big show where we have to leave things behind. We will also try, if we can figure it out on the technology end of things, how to webcast some of the presentations or at least film them and add them to YouTube.
We know some people are going to be disappointed at first, and we’ll miss the excitement of the "Big Show" ourselves, but we're confident everyone will be excited to see what these smaller "in-house" shows bring to the mix.
Look for a new monthly "Surfcasting Night at the SWE" as well in the very near future. If you like the community aspect of the SWE Fishing Show this will be right up your alley.
If you have other ideas of people or topics you'd like to see, please send me an email at pete@saltwateredge.com

It's turned into a beast of an event to pull off each year.
And while complaints were rare the number one thing we hear each year is "Why didn't you bring product X?"
If you want to see the face of pure evil tell a fly fisherman attending the show you didn't bring eyes because you didn't have room to display them.
Everything will by design be on hand now.
