Is the tourney over?
Is the year long over and if so , is Specialist the winner of the canal rod?

Ahhh, YES! That's right, we decided December 1st - and it's after December 1st!
Congrats Specialist! And thanks to Saltheart for another SWEET donation
OK - amongst the birthday & holiday parties this weekend, I'll try to get together the whole list of winners
...and that's why we need a Tournament Director - to keep track of all this, kinda like Julie on the Love Boat 'cept they make sure the prizes go to the right people

Thanks Goose. You guys turned up the heat with those big ones from Cuttyhunk, and the one you got with Bloo. I can't wait for Cutty next year, maybe you should set your tent up on the secret chunking spot. We could take shifts sleeping and fishing.

Just so no one is confused , specialist won the rod for biggest canal fish , not biggest fish overall....At least I think he did!

Only one prize per person. I know we discussed this and each person can only win one prize per year in the tourneys.

I know out on Cuttyhunk in the spring, I had mentioned to John that we should do that next year, since this year the tournament had already started. I did not know that had already been discussed and agreed upon, and it did not seem like John knew about it then. If I remember correctly Slipknot would have taken the yearlong, and canal fish if Schooliemonster had not of caught a bigger yearlong. Thus Slipknot took the canal fish, and 2nd place in the year long last year.

No Bill, I didn't take 2nd place in the yearlong. just the canal fish win last year, ya couldn't do both last year either, like Saltheart said , only one win, place or show per person. Schoolie monsters fish was heavier than mine but he forgot to get the fork length, anyway his was the best yearlong last year.
thanks John

That was the rule last year too as Slip confirms. Since we don't have many prizes and there is no entry fee , its in the spirit of things to limit it to one prize per person. John is getting older and his mind may be failing! either that or the tequila was taking effect when we discussed it last year!

If Specialist has the biggest canal and year long fish , I would think its fair he gets to chose first which prize he wants. Is that correct john? Does he want the prize for the biggest canal fish or the prize for the year long?
