Talking Work in Progress - Tides

No warranty expressed or implied - This is BETA

In my continuous efforts to make this place somewhat beneficial to y'all, I have installed a new Tide system and significantly updated (read fixed) the weather system.

Weather: http://www.striped-bass.com/weather/hw3.php This system gets data from NOAA and does things to it , dirty things. BUT, sadly there is no weatherbabe here to interpret that data and wrap it up in a nice bow. Just the raw feed from NOAA.

Tides are viewable here: http://www.striped-bass.com/weather/...&uselat=41.505

You can also choose your primary location here: http://www.striped-bass.com/weather/hw3.php and then choose the Tides close to you.

I hope to have the predictions installed for 2009 in the next week or two after they are released (from NOAA).

Disclaimer - they ain't exact. Most predictions I tested were right on or within a minute or four of what was published in other sources (also usually not in agreement) but I would not be surprised if these predictions, like other predictions, were occasionally more than off...

Links are also up in the Navbar above next to Arcade

Let me know what you think.

Thanks, John. Very nice.

Nice job boss.
For those of you that want current conditions at your fingertips, and as a big fan of Mozilla (not Netscrap or I.E), I downloaded a few add ons, on e of which gives me weather (current) and forecast in my task bar, and tide in my lower right of the screen. Gives me it at a glance. Look for 'Forecastfox and 'Whats the tide' for Mozilla

download the morning coffee add on as well..

It lets you select all your main sites in separate tabs (I open my two emails, and two other sites) w/ one click

Yeah, NIB - possibly gusts to 50 MPH with temps in the teens by tonite is the latest - it oughta be dandy...

Guess I should turn to and finish my weather stripping this afternoon.
