Last year at the RISSA show picked up bags of these. Can't remember the name but used them on the Cape, some times when you match the hatch this close it takes the fun out of fishing ALLMOST "what I do remember is the lure is made out of sand eel oil"

I could be wrong, but I recently picked up a reel at Bucko's in Fall River and I though he had some hanging on the wall under the label "Cape Cod (something or other) Sandeels".

Think I may try and get one more season out of it. It's got good fishability mojo, full size bed and all the creature comforts of a studio apt. By the way this is my fishfinder the real "MAKAI"

Another vote for Bill Hurley sand eels, I had a bag of them last year. The packaging said they were indeed made from sand eel oil.... Not sure how that comes about, who harvests sand eels for oil??? They are pretty cool for light tackle.

How is the hook?

How is the quality of the hook? Also do the stay on / hold up well? They obviously look just like the real thing.

the hook is the standard saltwater hook. as far as the plastic goes, it holds up until Mr Blue fish shows up then like all plastic
