Exclamation PlugFest 2009 - Categories

Ok folks last year a first year builder category was introduced and it went over pretty well. Off the top of my head I rember the following:

Best first year builder

Best representation/restoration of a classic

Most likely to catch a cow on its first cast.

Best of show

Best hand carved

Wall Hanger

Lets use this thread to discuss what you folks want to see again and tell us what wasnt such a great idea etc. Input from everyone would be awesome and welcome!!

how about, best hand carved
how about least likely to catch a cow on the first cast
and how about best unconventional lure, plugs made from things other than wood..ie a joking category.

60 % of the time, it works every time.

Gotta have "Best of Show"

How about we standardize by using last years categories instead of changing each year?

It's getting absurd that each year we delete and add. let's go with last years. It worked and that way everyone can just get started doing thier thing for whatever category(s) they plan to enter.

Why even try.........

what were last years categories?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I updated the categories on the intial post to be what I can remember from last year. Good suggestions everyone keep them coming I agree with Flap that we should standardize the categories with the addition of hand carved in its own category.

I agree about keeping the categories the same. Not that I'll be winning anything, but at least builders can work on something specific if they know that the categories will be the same year after year.

Also agree on the handcarve category

bring with you , put in a plain brown paper bag, select category you want to enter, hand to someone running the show.

Timber, IIRC there was a "novelty" category last year.

MR SANDMAN: in addition to what Professor M posted above, be sure you don't sign the plug you entered for the contest either.
