Hahah.... ditto.
These guys just have accountants and I'm sure some people would be surprised at how much of invalids our elected politicians are. Take away their assistants, interns and pages and you'd probably find many balled up in a corner - scared and alone.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

They'd make a redneck look like a MENSES member.
If they're too stupid or inept to handle their own tax affairs PROPERLY and CORRECTLY, they're definitely too stupid AND inept to handle any position of power!
Just remember, if any of US had the "misfortune" to "inadvertently" forget to properly pay our taxes, or correct our tax issues, do you think for a second that WE'D be given even 1/100th the amount of consideration from the IRS and the nation that these clowns got?
HELL NO! We'd be making our plea either from prison or the poor house, no excuse!

He made just under a million a year as a consultant for one company. Cheats on his taxes and then blames the rich for not paying there share. Makes me sick.

Its because the IRS, for a long time, has its hands full auditing people with incomes $25,000 or less as opposed to those with incomes $100,000+ as was the case in 1999. Enforcement budgets hace been slashed. Only recently, as in the past few years, have the IRS stepped up (modest) visibility.
Audit rates are even uglier for small business. Companies reporting $100 million or more in assets saw audits rates fall 30%, its approaches %40 when we talk about companies with $250 million or more. Small business (5 million in assets or less) on the other hand, saw a 40% increase in audit rates from 2005 to 07. How do we know the rich are paying their taxes if no one is checking?

Daschel drops out. Good. So should have Geitner.
The old addage, dishonest in small things, dishonest in big things applies imho.
