Hip Replacement
My 86 yr. old mother went in for this yesterday . 2 hr. operation . She's already been up on her feat and walking today (assisted)..She feels great ,, Doc said she needed it bad,, arthritis ,, bone on bone ,, He said it went great . The staff laughs when they see me . I know she's telling them stories . If they ask her about her past medical history, she loves to tell them how she broke her leg falling down on St. Patty's day .. She's got the Irish whisper too ..

I wish her luck in the recovery/PT phase. I thought it was a piece of cake but I'm not 86!
I was amazed at being done at 2 PM and being standing by 9 PM. While some medicine is still quackery I do think the joint replacements qualify as miracles of modern medicine.

Must of made you feel like you were here at S-B.
Glad she is ok at that age any operation is tricky.

They get you up and walking within hours. Had mine dine 3 yrs ago ( old motorcycle accident 30 yrs ago) went to bone on bone walking back from Napatree (took 3.5hrs) In and out in 3 days back to a desk job in 14 days. Its a life changing operation. Glad to hear shes up and moving. Betcha she feels a whole lot better.
