DJ Muller, Surf Asylum, and Zee Baas at the SWE this Saturday (3.7.09)

Join us at the Edge on Saturday for another pre-season weekend and get ready for the coming season.

DJ Muller is traveling up from New Jersey this weekend to put on a presentation on "the finer points of fishing artificials, an in-depth look at the physical aspects and psychological perspectives of plugging as well as plug anantomy (example: what is the diffference between a pikie and an A-40...lips and body types, etc.). Reading the water and plugging certain, specific conditions. Why do we have hundred's of plugs???"

DJ's presentation will start at 1PM upstairs at the SWE.

Also at the SWE will be Dave Anderson from Surf Asylum Lures and Rob Koelewyn from Zee Baas reels. Dave will have a big selection of lures available for sale.

In case you can't make it to the shop DJ will also be at the MSBA show on Sunday at Stonehill College, 12:30-1:30 p.m. "This will be on fishing for big bass when big bunker come around and the techniques we use in NJ applied to NE especially with the return of the pogie." - DJ

We're under-staffed this Saturday, so no. Otherwise we would.

Thumbs up

As usual, SWE is a first class act.
DJs presentation was a couple of hours and chock full of good information. The guy exudes confidence and knows his stuff.
Shopped at Dave Anderson's table of plug offerings.
All in all, a good way to spend a Spring like Saturday afternoon.

The seminar was spot on!!! It was nice to see the weighted superstrikes and poppers!!!
Wow where are the tools that were bashing Steve???
Hey maybe you didn't hear me...someone taught other people how to do something and we had fun learning to boot!!!
Hey and it was refreshing to hear Steve M. asking questions....Seems that no matter how long you've been at the game you still can learn a trick or 2!!!
I even made it the mass. bass show earlier and my dad even sat in on a fluke seminar... as long as he's been in the game and he's willing to learn new things from younger guys...Oh and he KNOWS the holy grail spots also!!!
Great job Pete G. Corey P. and Steve C.!!! Bravo.

Id hate to bash seminars. That that is prob. the best i have been to. Packed with info and a never ending Powerpoint. Unfortunately i got there right before the presentation and didnt get to check out any of the Surf Asylum's.

DJ had a really good presentation, and was down to earth about it and was patient with questions. I learned a few things about swimmers I didnt know before, thanks to SWE for a good time had.

Great questions you were asking Steve. It really showed me no matter how much experience you have there is always something new you can learn. That really sunk it with me and i think i came away being a smarter fisherman.

WELL DONE, DJ!!!

your talks are always very informative, entertaining, and
chock full of practical-hands-on-git-r-done type information.
and i especially liked the *state of the art* graphics and powerpoint
razzle dazzle the second half of yer talk that dealt with
the intagibles of what and how we do this surfcraziness was ALSO spot AWN!

thanks again for making the trip and big thanks to CanalDave, and to Pete and The Boyz at The Edge for preparing us for another Season in the Surf!!! if this weather holds i'll be able to swim sum of the Asylumwood i picked up there also, so i can become more intimate with them and dial them in.

nice meeting some new faces and talking stripers with the familiar ones,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Spring is just around the bend, men!!!

Thanks.

Had a great day at the Edge, I want to thank Peter, Corey and Steve. Man what a great crew of nice people!! Thank's Iron Man for supplying the entertainment again as usual...too funny!
I believe the Edge is the epicenter of the surf right now. There is always some good mojo coming from the shop and those around it, they are on top of things.

Thanks also for the kind words from everyone on the seminar!
Good luck this season!
