Weekend Plugs with Dressed tailhooks
I finished a few plugs over the weekend that I have been working on recently. A couple Joppa Jinx (THANK You Rockfish!) no fins yet, a couple of white/pink needles, and a couple of Blue Streaks now completed
I think I am set for the season which is not too far away.... now that the snow and ice are gone ...

You'll have so much fun fishing those, I suspect you'll fire up the lathe again before the season has run its course.

looks like your keeping busy, what did you use for a lip on those double J's....... I wish I could get away with building two of each plug... seems everytime someone visits me, they show up empty handed and leave witha bag full of plugs!...

I used a Pikie 1 on the thinner one (7/8" diameter) and a #3 on the 1 1/8diameter one. I had completed the thicker one before you had finished your tutorial.
I was looking at the Tatoo jointed eel at 1st light in Rowley over the weekend and I like your design better...... the double J is more of a "big meal" for a cow striper while the tatoo jointed plug is just an afternoon snack . That being said... Nate at 1st light said one of his friends caught at least (4) 30 lb fish on his tatoo jointed plug last year.... that plug has serious mojo...
