Congrats.

I know exactly what you're going through right now. I'm going down on March 8th, and my girl can't get enough of this wedding planning stuff. It probably doesn't help matters that she's a meeting planner by trade, but it pretty much represents my life as I know it right now. From out of any part of any conversation at amy time, she can drop some question about the wedding that I wouldn't conceive of if it was all I had to do. I imagine the same goes for you too. Them women love this wedding stuff. I look at it as cookies in the cookie jar for me come warmer days. And I'll try not to fish on the honeymoon too, but I can't exactly promise that.

Oh...and I've never been to a wedding there.

Who cares about the venue, lets stick to the important questions...

Does she fish?

If so, you have my blessings.
If not, it was nice knowing you. You will not be doing much fishing my friend.

My new avitar is actually a picture of my wife (about 12 years ago) letting one fly at sandy point.

let me just say from a womans point of veiw...yeah we get kinda freaky about weddings ( even me...) but I think its because as girls we were always taught to dream of our perfect wedding day.......the TRUTH is.....you are going to have fun no matter where it is...you wont even realize your surroundings because you'll have too much going on....and you wont remeber 80% of what went on anyway.......I know you probably dont realize this now but its true....in fact looking back I wish I hadnt gotten so stressed about the details...I couldnt even tell you what they were....

as far as marriage goes.....sure it has its ups and downs......but I wouldnt give it up for the world........in fact I think its EASier than when we were dating because now we fight...but we know we will never leave each other..(and we have to live with each other) so the fights are usually short and sweet!

LMAO!!!!

actually its more like "she says wanna go fishing??" he says "I dunno, Where, when, " then she says "(where ever I wanna go) " and he says "I dunno" then she says...Ok I wanna go.....if you wanna go fine....or I will go by myself"

80% of the time he says ok....the other 20% I just go..(he likes fishing but isnt the crazed lunatic about like I am)....we finally learned that its no fun to bring the other along if they really dont want to go....so thats when we do out own thing its all about TRUST and COMPROMISE!!!!!!

Talking

she likes fishing the sweetwater more than the salt but she loves going out on the boat so i will have opportunities to fish with her. but other than that she works a couple nights a week so ill just do my fishing then until my son is born (ill be happy w/ a healthy child of either sex). once children come into the picture that when she will turn evil (jk)
your right jenn, i try to tell her to relax and not to let it get her aggravated but i think its hard for her not too. between her divorced parents it seems like one or the other wants/needs her to do things this way or that way. but like i said she is a trooper and she handles it pretty well.
thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Not that this will ever happen, but I just got this joke and it fits this thread:

Every Saturday morning he's going fishing. He gets up early and eager, makes his lunch, hooks up his boat and off he goes...all day long. Well, one Saturday morning he gets up early, dresses quietly, gets his lunch made, puts on his long johns, grabs the dog and goes to the garage to hook up his boat to the truck and down the driveway he goes. Coming out of his garage rain is pouring down; it is like a torrential downpour. There is snow
mixed in with the rain, and the wind is blowing 50 mph. Minutes later, he returns to the garage. He comes back into the house and turns the TV to the weather channel. He finds it's going to be bad weather all day long, so he puts his boat back in the garage, quietly undresses land slips back into bed.
There he cuddles up to his wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispers, "The weather out there is terrible." To which she sleepily replies, "Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that shi#?"

married almost 14 years and when the wife and i got married we set the golden rule." the bedroom is the DMZ" no matter how heated an argument is or was, the argument stays outside the bedroom door.

good luck to you and your soon to be better half.
