All of the hardworks and patience actually paid off, right, JohnR? =D I gotta thanks to MikeCC for the canal special pencil popper and his tips.

This is actually my only and first bass and keeper of the season. I couldn't beleive that it actually exploded on the surface about 50 ft away from me and BrianS and his cousin.

Way to go, men -

And a big thumbs up on your PB, Joe - on a topwater to boot!

See, all the hard work pays off sooner or later...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Congrats to you both! Nothing better than big fish on top water plugs.

good job. Congrats. Seen several personal best this week , unfortunately not for me as I never seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Felt good to sleep in this morning. They probably killed them this morning, and good for them.

Nice job guys!!

I made one last attempt this morning. Conditions were ideal - foggy, overcast, light wind, change to east ~750am. Very quiet where I was and I and a couple buddies covered alot of ground. No topwater action sited.

Catching a big one is what I mean by "Cashing in" . You put in all the ffort and the pay off or "Cashing In" is catching the big one.

I was the exceptionally handsome guy

I had waders and a green fleece on and was up stream from you but when I passed you I had taken was walking checking the place out around in jeans and sneakers. Next time I see you I will stop by now. I noticed your plug!

I saw Ron from Maine and a few other familiar faces yesterday as well.
