Unreal....

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news...46/detail.html

My son and I saw this boat flying through the mooring field an hour before the accident happened. There were definitely more than two people on board at that time, and it wasn't a woman operator... I know the husband/owner, and did not see him onboard. Don't know her. Boat ended up 25 feet above the water, up a >45 degree rock enbankment.....

Keeping with the Nautical theme, perhaps a submarine race?

Hmmmm----booze and a male passenger who apparently wasn't her husband.....

I think wrecking the boat might be the lesser of the problems she's going to have on the home front

Well, they deserve whatever comes their way ... glad no one else was hurt.

There have been a number of tragic accidents up in the Merrimac River this season already. Some of them don't make any sense, claims that a boat attempted to jump a jetty, etc.

But the most tragic was a former Coast Guard representative who was out with his family and his boat got rammed by another vessel out of control, sending the gentleman over the side ... at that moment, he had taken his life vest off (or for some reason wasn't wearing it) ... and now his wife and kids are left fatherless ... no reason for that, none whatsoever ... I don't remember what happened to the individuals in the other boat that caused the accident, but they should pay ...

Very happy nobody got hurt. Money and the divorce courts can fix everything else! If someone is hurt or killed , that can't be undone.

The big problem is the speed that people drive after all their fear is washed away by the alchohol.

On the other hand I could tell you some real horror stories of the dumb stuff people have done while boating who had not had a single drink. I believe that there should be a license for boats above a certain length or horsepower , not needed for row boats and canoes or Kayaks and not for small motored boats like bass boats or tenders.

It's hard not to be in favor of some sor tof boat license...then again, would it make a difference...probably not!!

Not sure if it's cause the summer has been so delayed or the media, but it seems like there have been a crap load of boating accidents around this year.

my neighbor told me about this as I live a few blocks from where this happened...sounds like a really shady story to me, would like to know more of what happened here.

Imagine if you were just hanging out enjoying the day and a freakin' boat comes crashing into your yard?
