Southern Maine

Anyone had any keepers over 40"? I usually have a few at this point in the season and I'm starting to think the cold weather and water temps may be keeping them south. The charter guys I'm friends with have only gotten a few as well and theyre out every day.

On the other hand, we're getting a new boat next week (26' Pro Line Super Sport CC) so some day trips south may change my luck...

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Hey. I'm heading to s. Maine next week for my annual 2 weeks fishing (and family stuff). I've been in touch with friends in the area. Very few large fish but plenty in the 20-26 slot is what I'm hearing. Also blues moving in. The boat sounds sweet.

Not me. I usually have a couple by now, but it hasn't happened yet. It's been very slow the last couple of day's, in fact, it's been going down hill the past couple of weeks around here (Portland area).
Got skunked yesterday & today, different areas, different style of fishing, and these places usually produce for me.
