Cheer me up

Hi all, caught my heaviest fish of the year on Fri night (RI surf) but did not go back last night. Now I feel like I missed something and am filled with regret. Can someone please tell me they saw the conditions last night and that they were unfishable!?

Relax -the conditons last night were dangerous and most likely very different in the spot you caught your fish.Go back mon -weds and get the ones that are cruising around looking for food that has been stirred up by the storm.

She bottomed out my 30# Boga (but just barely bottomed out). My guess is 30.5#-33# (released). was using a white BM danny (w/ no rear treble) around 10:45pm. only the second time I've broken 30, now I want a 40! (greedy)

It was rough enough last night that your plug bag, stashed 20+ feet from the surfline, would have gotten washed away. And after 20 minutes of searching you were lucky to find it (far from where you originally stashed it).

What Uncle Joe said...and he knows a lot 'cause he's old...

Heard an as-yet unconfirmed story that a surfer drowned in the surf at Ruggles Ave last night off the Cliff Walk

Wait'll the swell dies...then go back to the scene of the crime

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Thursday night something happened at 1st beach at the Cliff Walk end as well.

I was driving by at 7pm and there was 4 fire trucks, 2 ambulances, 5 police cars, and what appeared to be some one on stretcher surrounded by a crowd.

I never saw anything about it in the news, but it looked bad with that much police and fire on hand.
