f-ing Racoon tonight->just now
He's out on the deck standing on his hind legs eating all the sunflower seed right out of the bird feeder
having already wiped out all the suet cakes.
so i go out there to confront him and send him Packin
and i kick the trash can to make a big noise and then he gets all nasty with me snarling and charging me and the the flashlight but i'm barefoot and only wearing my underwear
[I don't want him mauling my dog or depleting all the sunflower seed, and suet that's there for our feathered friends which ain't so cheap.]
so ... thinking fast , i grab the nearest object for self defense off of the patio table
which is a plastic tennis racket that i use to play
bad mitten with the white faced hornets.
and i throw it quite accurately sideways like crocodile dundee (lol)
tossing a boomerang and knock his ass right of the railing
as he snarls once more before hitting the ground.
adios Racoon ........ya bastid you got off easy

You would have thought this visual alone would have sent him running! Nice shot with the racket though. I hate those things.

At least it wasnt a skunk... had an encounter last night jogging... just before dark... damn skunk hissed at me tail raised and I stopped,, slowly backed away and kept eye contact with him as I backed away... Luckily he didnt spray me.
Hate those raccoons too though... 1 got in the boat this spring sacred the crap out of me,, he was in the glove box area...

well it's quite private here.....much darkness and trees
no lights on period
i have to conserve electricity ........because the jacuzzi turns that meter
thankfully the AC doesn't have to run much anymore
i mean i've hand fed racoons cookies before (i do like them)
at campgrounds out west where they are quite friendly
this particular one was in attack mode....heh heh heh

i was as still as a rock DAVE
we both were stretching to the limit...
it was funny as hell though.... we were giving them miniature chocolate bars with the crinkly foil inner rapper ok
and man did they love those...
because
Later in the wee hours me and the wife were giggling non stop
because we both thought this Girl named Robin was getting into the
bag of chocolates since we could hear the tin foil crackling.
but all the time it was the racoon's getting into our friend Bill's truck camper stealing them.........
it was so friggan funny that we got up at 1:00 am again and the wife snapped that picture of me feeding them.
the other thing that was hilarious was....
as we set up camp...this Know it all comes walking by
and says.... you may not want to camp on that site!
i yelled back to him: "why is that"
he says: The raccoons come over every night
so i yell back: Yeah i know! that's why we chose this spot

but of course
these two raccoons think they rule my big deck
and that's why they are "claiming it" by leaving scat
i was just letting them know right up front
who is boss.... and snarling doesn't cut it...
now i have to go fix the boat so i can catch them a trout
then i'll get some new pictures...i hope anyway
but if they wanna get nasty
there's always: MEET walkin tall
