Mind you the automakers are struggling for sales.......RIGHT?! Now....I am at a dealership a couple weeks ago and I am looking at the brandie new Chevy Camaro!!!! Beautiful car to say the least....just a real beautiful machine!!! Price tag on window.........$45,000.00!!!!!!!
Now come on....in this economy how many are going to spring for a toy like that???!!!! You would think that these dealerships would be focusing on sales as opposed to offering these "objects of desire" that most people cannot afford even on a good day!! Wouldn't it make more sense to manufacture and sell these types of vehicles at a more reasonable/affordable price so more can afford their slice of the "American Dream"??!!!! How about selling in volume and making more money than selling a few units and turning a few dollars on the sale???? Sell 1,000,000 units instead of just 300,000 units......$30,000.00 sounds more reasonable for cryin' out loud!!! Back in the day anyone could afford a Z-28 for about $20,000.00!!! We all had them!!! Not anymore though! The dealerships would rather these vehicles fill an "elite" niche'!!! And they wonder why they are not selling cars!!!!!!
