Stiffy, never saw you. Was looking.

Band was good. Could not hear much of the announcing by Megan.

Would have been tough pulling that off if twice the people showed. Striperfest is Striperfest. It is a good time and it is appreciated that OTW pulls it off the way they they do. Going to need to work on the logisitcs a bit to match up with the level of party.

Kudos to all of the smart guys that congregated around the entrances and protected the only relatively dry area form foot traffic

It was pretty good. OTW did a great job considering the weather situation. The band was a little loud for my 5 year old son, but he was digging all the fishing stuff.
As with any gathering, the best part for me is seeing old friends and shooting the breeze.

It's not the bait

I felt like I was at a college dance. Walking around trying to find someone to talk with, when it was too loud to hear, and they'd rather be seen with someone else. Ended up talking to Stiffy, which is kinda like hitting on the ugliest girl at the dance. Oh well.

I think they did a good job considering the rain. It got hot under that tent. I think if the weather would have been nice there would have been a little more room and not have been so loud. Nice job by the OTW guys................I gave away like a grand in sebiles to the little ones...that was nice.

The best thing----the food from the Black Dog

Black Dog food at Buzzards Bay prices--they dropped the lobstah roll from $12 to $8. $5 got you a big sausage/peppers/onion roll on fresh baked bread.

The worst, as expected---the beer. The first (free) one was piss warm, and of course, it was Gansett

Does anyone miss the oompah band?

Saw everything and everyone I wanted to see in 15 minutes, then it was find Numby and Sauerkraut and head for the door. Music was too loud and wasn't that good. I liked the oompah band better.

Congrats to Bob Larson for winning the boat, Bob had a rough year surviving prostate cancer and was most deserving as he is one of the nice guys in fishing.

Red Top really appreciated the event being dwon the street. I did bring some heavy pressure on the local fishing. I walked out to one of my spots and lo and behold were a couple guys in NY plated trucks in wetsuits going out to the bar. I went back to my truck and sacked out figuring there goes the neighborhood.

Stiffy was working up a sweat selling OTW gear. How many were give aways? Hmmm............

Kudos to Chris and Neal and the rest of the OTW gang for putting it on, it's a sh!tload of work.

Why even try.........

Great time.

I echo the comments on the band just way to loud for the inside of a tent in the rain. If the band had been outside it would have been OK I guess. To me, going to an event like that is to talk to friends you haven't seen in awhile, not to listen to a bunch of old guys play old rock and roll, badly. I can do that is any number of crummy bars in New England.

Good putting names with faces and seeing TT, JR, Redlite Jimmy S, BB and meeting a bunch of new folks that are on the board but who I had never met in person.

No boat, back in the suds.

If I drank like 4 gansetts I might have started to like it, couldnt get past the first warm one. I think whoever was responsible for the sound at that event shouldnt have gotten paid. Band was good, sound sucked bad. Probably go again next year though. Thats all I got to say about that.

We had a great time. Switched to the light beer and it got better plus colder for some reason. Didn't eat but I think Starfish got away with the most shwag and invites to fish though.

I think it couldve been a bit more centrally located in New england, so as to make it somewhat equally accessible to anglers regardless of what state they live in... If you live in the cape, the location is great... but if youre from CT, new york, new Jersey, thats a haul... somewhere along interstate 95 would draw a much better crowd... The only thing that kept me from going was the fact that it was at the cape... And why cant this thing end late october??? If Im not mistaken, it has always ended in september more as a business strategy for the harpoon brewery, so they could promote and kick off their "octoberfest"... But since they werent the sponsor this year, why didnt someone extend this thing through the best month of fishing???

I had a good time, considering the music was too loud and it was a little hot in the tent. Good job by everyone who put the event on and congrats to all the winners. I also got to meet Tynan19, eelskimmer and Piemma, which was nice.

As a musician/music teacher it is tough to be hard on musicians. I find it funny when sound guys feel it is necessary to mic up a drumset under a tent. If the drums weren't miked up then everything could have been much softer.

I had a fun time and I personally do not find the Narragansett beer to be as disgusting as a lot of you. Tastes a lot like Bud to me.

I really appreciate everything that the OTW guys do to put this thing together. Awesome job.

I thought it was some guy Larson who won the truck. If Bruce wasn't there, he couldn't have won it.

Thanks for clarifying that. I knew it was the boat Larson won, I'm just stupid and can't read well. Now I remember the guy standing in for Coletti with the truck key.
