FOILING
This if my first try at it so I went big. another 8" x 2" plug. there will be 5. pic"s showing how I did it.
1. I had sound some ROAD KILL WOOD was an old chair so I cut of the ends
2. sanded an filled in where the cross member was w/ a section of the crosss member.
3. sanded it again, sealed, an primed in black so you can see the scale. I cut it to fit, an put the cut section on TOP.
4.Foil I used regular reynolds wrap 6.5mm again cut to fit.
5. this was the most time consuming part (for me ) I took an 12mm eye an holding the stem I rubbed each scale to get it's effect.
then painting, did't know what to pait it never see a plug so shiney, so I asked Etch for a suggestion an he said PURPLE/WHITE.
thats it the purple showed the CREASE in the foil on TOP so I hit it w/black to hide it , now it BLACK,PURPLE, SILVER, CREAM belly
(sorry) ETCH ran out of WHITE.
thats it
GOOD LUCK GOOD PLUGGIN

So salty, what your saying is that you place the gil plate material on the plug and then wrap the foil over it, correct, or am I missing something here as usual?
