Still waiting for a report

Here it is Monday afternoon and no one has
posted a report for this past weekend.
I walked from one end of SOCO to the
other on Friday for a total of four dinks.
Would any one like me to burn my hots
spots for them???? Have we reduced
ourselves to talking about lime green
plugs and canal bikes?? Get with it!!!

Sat am, plugged BBAY from shore with dog....nothing. Loads of Gannets heading towards RI.
Falmouth area Sat pm.......wicked SW wind, fished a lee spot....1 hit.....enough to take some line then pull free (prob a @10lb fish).
Sun afternoon, boat trip towards Cutty. Found some scattered bass to about 15 lbs and one decent bluefish (all caught by my ex-buddy). Considering how barren it has been I 'd say things are looking up. Just need some time and weather to get at them. There is still hope.

Friday 9pm to Sat 3:45am fish on every cast, had to take off teaser as it was getting to be too much. All small maybe ten pounds was largest, lots of bait peanuts/silversides.

Saturday night after handing out trick or treat candy headed out at 10pm. Wind howling south at 30 to 40plus. Intermittent rain/overcast. Was all alone, no bait no fish. Fished until 2am, nada, nothing zip. Should have gone east rather than west.

Sunday cooked a turkey for family as kids were home for weekend, stuffed the bird and myself, passed out from food buzz and was awoken at 9pm to drive daughter back to beantown. So no fishing Sunday evening.

haven't been out since.

Why even try.........

No doubt about it - the Reubenesque vocalist is clearing her throat...

Dink City locally - not to say say that someone won't bang a beaut hereabouts but don't bet the mortgage payment on it

Probably do a few SoCo trips with a buddy in the next couple of weeks - we need some yellow eyed devils for our traditional Thanksgiving smoked bluefish pate appetizer...and maybe a commando trip to to BI if the spirit moves me

I dunno, personally, I'm looking forward to blackfishing from shore for a while - there's something therapeutic about sitting on a gallon of crabs in a bucket with a hot cup of coffee and a smoke while you ruminate on the coming of winter

Hey, it is November after all - when an experienced older gentleman's fancy turns to tog.....in fact, me and my bride just cryovac-ed some this AM to lay in our winter supply of fillets and fresh fish stock

Yeah, this is the toughest time of year - it's not the end of the road but you can sure see it from here...

Just hope the fat broad with the big mouth waits another couple of weeks

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

Water to the left, sand to the right. Unless you turn around .

Wish I had some better info for you but between schedule and everyone has been off and on sick, no chance to fish. Now son is home with a fever - fun.

No fish on Pig&Sow area today but water temp is still 54d.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

I got a call this afternoon that BI is white hot....from a boat. Many 30 to 40# fish this AM all around the island but it was all boat fishing.

No boat, back in the suds.

I hope Eddie, Tagger, gets into some of those on his upcoming block trip. He deserves it.
I just fished along the E. Islands last 2 days with plugs and there are still plenty of quality fish coming your way. I had a blast.

Paul-

Good to hear that you got into some quality fish with your custom plugs. Payback time from your time invested on the canal...
