Red oaks give up their leaves last. Tight bastages. Usually just before the new ones pop.

and don't forget the gutter cleaning. I have a 4' dia. one right next to my house but I could never cut it down it is too beautiful. Worse part is when the gypsy moths fill my gutters to the brim with their rotten leave filled feces. God I hate that.

All my oaks are ashes and now working on the neighbors, firewood in the woodstove.

oh yeah and don't forget the moss and lichens that are growing all over my roof. Looks like friggin Ireland.
When you don't get to the gutters and the rain and the unexpected snow fill um up and they are there frozen for the rest of the winter causing all kinds of havoc with ice dams and basement flooding. Still wouldn't cut it down though.

Good one Dave. Snowblower mulching

Your house and yard look like something that Frodo Baggins would live in.

I hope you grind up with the lawn mower before bagging: reduces bags used by about 4-5X

and I hope you throw them in the garden. Nothing better to improve soil than to rototill them into soil or use around all shrubs as mulch or into a compost pile for future use. I usually take any of my neighbors leaves.

was able to catch me up...
Nice to have, when you don't have time, and the time bandit has been catching up with me real good.
splitter was a big help in evening up the score a bit.
