SUMMER STRIPERS IN TRURO

Each summer in the middle of July I vacation in Truro Bay side. Is there any way to catch fish from the shore on the bay side during high tide. No Luck for years now.

Thanks

Yup! Just keep trying...they are there! Change your tactics.....try plugs swimmers or best bet topwater by day! Target early morning and late afternoon! You could try bait? Eels, chunks, sandeels are great! If action is not happening in one spot make yourself mobile! Also....do not pidgeon hole yourself into strictly the bayside fishing.......get out on the backside beaches and have some fun!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Bayside - think moving water (great "moving water" place in Truro).

Don't be afraid to drive all of the way across to the other side of the landmass either, only a couple miles away. Early July probably has fish one side or other.

You can't always expect them to come to you in front of your condo. If you want to catch a notable fish you may have to move around and find them. Stop into one of the local tackle shops, pick up a couple of their favorite lures and tap them for some hints and local tricks. Make and effort and you'll connect.

Are you fishing through out the night. Some move in after dark, and of coarse diff tides dusk/ dawn.
There`s a spot I fish and there actully 20 min window [turn of low] and when you hook up, it push`s the others back in to deeper water, although it makes for a great fluke spot!
a couple 5lb flk
a few min 20 bass

Nice thing about the tip of the Cape is that you have the potential to fish a dozen locations all within a few miles of each other.

Forget bait, just making the crabs happy.
Fish at night, small swimmers and needles.
Fish day if you get a big westerly wind, use slim tin like po-gee.
More apt to be bluefish city on you though.
No wind nice day, forget fishing, your on some of the nicest beaches on the planet. Play, drink beer, get sunburnt, swim, stare at all the russian girls, you know the drill, have fun.

May fortune favor the foolish....

Thumbs up

My speciality is Truro's bayside.
Put in your time especially with the family.
Soak bait, clams, or better yet seaworms, fresh dug.
Relax in a comfy chair, read a book chat with your better half or friends.
It's important to relax and enjoy spending a day at the beach while watching your spiked rod.
This method works great!
