had better days
I got a call from my sister Thursday when we were leaving Mexico. My Mom was in ICU at Cooley #^^^^&erson (Northhapton) hospital and had about 48 hours left. She has been sick for a while and I cant say I was terribly surprised. My sister was watching my son for us while we were on vactation. She lives in Montana, so her being hear was a blessing. So, my wife, my sister and myself dropped my son of at daycare yesterday and made the two and half hour drive west to say good-by to our mom. After talking to the Doctor and my father we have decided to let her go and not fight it. I am on my way back there today to be with her to the end.

Stay strong and remember you are making the correct choice. Your Mom will be in a much better place and no longer in pain, which is the MOST important thing!

Thanks for the kind words. I heard today that god closes one door, and opens anouther. My dad wants to move from Western Mass to some where around the cape to be closer to us. He also said he is looking forward to going fishing this summer, something he could not do the with mom being sick.
