A long time ago I was one of a group that founded CHOIR to advocate for changes in the regulations that manage the Atlantic Herring Fleet, specifically when it comes to Mid Water and Pair Trawl Operations. CHOIR is still going strong however it really is mostly Charter Captains and Rod & Reel Commercials.
There is a definate need to get more pure recreational fishers involved so last year I founded
www.honestbycatch.com. For 2010 I have a three phase plan to get things moving.
Phase One is the Honest ByCatch 2010 Awareness Tour (Tee Shirts this summer). I will be taking a display "On the Road". We started at the MSBA show and next will be RISAA and many more events this year. If you have an event we should attend between here and NC just pm me.
Phase Two is the launch of the HonestBycatch.com FaceBook Page and it went live an hour ago. Please check it out and become a "fan".
