Thumbs up Striper Tales

A must read for any surfcaster out there. This book is packed with short stories ranging from a 38# on a sharpie marker to the ghost of watch hill. i just picked it up yesterday and never put it down, great job DJ and to everyone that contributed. Saltheart you had some great stories in there my favorite one was, "The Blitz At Turtle Cove".

Its a good collection of Stories! Turtle Cove is one of my favorites but I also like "The Ship of Fools"! That story is so typical of what its like when gung ho people first get into fishing big. Its a wonder most of us survive the early years where bravery is at its peak , along with stupidity!

Anyway , I hope lots of people enjoy the book. DJ did a great job on it.

I picked it up at MSBA and tore through it. It was a great idea for a book, and a great way to pass the time in the off season. It cool seeing some stories from this bunch of knuckleheads.

Everything is better on the rocks.

My personal favorites:
"The Ghost of Watch Hill" Weird-ass story expressed perfectly.
Both of Alan Cordtz' stories-love em both (plus I love the Vine-yad).
Lellis-Fog story...weird! His Holloween story, weird-er yet cool.
Loved Mike's "Ship of Fools" and "Turtle Cove"-very good writer/collector
Anderson's stuff, good as usual
Oh and then "Generator Hole"...you laugh, you cry...great story!

Ah they're all good...except two or three.
(Not a bad percentage)

Are any copies going to be available for sale at RISAA?

Aside: Is anyone not going to RISAA? Everyone I talk to is going. I hope there room in the parking lot for the bus I drive.
