Ariens 8526 Snoblower, leaking fluid
Ok,
Now that the blowable snow is gone, I have to fix the front diff on my Ariens that has been leaking oil, appears that the gasket or seal for the right side cutter spindle has loosened to the point where the oil is draining out of the unit.
Anyone ever have to deal with fixing these beasts?

there are some killer sealers for that...
they are gasket sealers....even if you have to flip it on
it's side so that you can tilt the oily area away from
more oil getting to the spot so ya can clean it before
re- sealing it.... worth a try for less money

The first thing I would do is check the fluid level and see if it was down, the liquid grease will flow more freely now with the warmer weather and might just be minor seasonal leakage. I have some of the Ariens service manuals.

a wee bit more than a leak it's more like a steady drip
