Fish

This one absolutely hammered a pencil at the end of my cast. It pulled pretty hard and I thought it was gonna be a bit bigger. Fun all the less.

Nice way to start the season!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Agreed. Every year Mikey posts a nice early season river bass. That sound was the starter's pistol!

Go get em.

nice early fish. What is that dark red fungus/weed looking substance near his top fins? is it a fungus or weed of some kind?

The pic doesn't do it justice. I'm pretty sure it was not a holdover, because it was very clean looking. That is just a little mud by the fins. My fishing buddy really wanted the fish so I let him keep it. I'm not sure how he'll prepare it, but I know I'll be over for dinner that night.
