Bob Hahn made good plugs. I have some of his bottle swimmers and they kick butt on Gibbs. He was most well known for his metal lips---guys were paying big bucks for his Surfsters when they heard he went out of business. He was based somewhere in NJ. I'm sure DaveS has a few.

( just a couple). Got my first 40 pounder on a Hahn bottleplug. The Bob Hahn Bottle plug was an azzkicker! I never had one that didnt swim right outa the package, no tweaking needed. I think what made em swim so nice was the enlongated bottom lip which has the deep scooped out look, also the neck on the plug is really tapered thin, man they swim. I'll try to post some pics later this week. Also the metal lip swimmers kicked butt, what a wiggle, and he also did some sweet paint jobs, color combos that are outa this world. Altogether I probably have 10 bottles and maybe 6 swimmers left and 1 or 2 needles, but I know a guy who bought about 200 different Hahn's when Bob quit making plugs(I'm gonna HO some this weekend ).

Bob Hahns plugs are some of the best. I think his needles are undrated. I like the larger heavier needles that he made.
It is my understanding that Bob was making his plugs in Point Pleasant,NJ at that time, in the 1990's. It is also my understanding that his plugs are made from sugar pine.
As the previous posts states they catch fish, can't beat that.
I wish they were still around today.

I got a few hahns.I think he made them at of maple. one cast in the salt an the paint would blow up.I used to hang out at a tackle shop aftr wk an some guy comes in complainin of this I tell him it don't matter the plug catches he wants his money back. I take them for half price. when my buddy heard he threw all his stuff out in disgust ( he said He had money owed to him in five states)he bought all his leftover stock. I got a few Hahns.I don't think Bob used a dupelicater like BM he was a master at turnin by eye there are alot of subtle differences in his plugs I have at least 5 different renditions of his bottle plug thin neck fat neck real big but. all wieghted a little differentlythey all swim gd an catch.my favorite is the big3oz fat pikie body he used to make then the surfster.black top orange sides yellow bottom.to bad he's not doin his thing any more.

Musso 3 oz darters were a Long Island item---mainly for Montauk guys. He never made a plastic version of the 3 oz. Not any big production if he did any at all. You'll never pry any out of the guys who have 'em.

I have one old original Danny Pinchley 3 oz darter somewhere. I think Bob Hahn made a version of it, too. The one I have is yellow and I have to hang onto it too

Dave, I just mentioned to slip that I was organizing my schtuff today and would up with 3 double Planos crammed full of Hawgs. Got everything off the floor and up onto shelves so we can start using the garage for what it was made for, instead of a tackle warehouse

I got more crippled Hawgs in the box of misfit toys, and somehwre there's another stash still in the package.

Hahn's darter? I'll force myself, I guess
