Not familiar with anyone. I'm in Yarmouth. Local shops don't carry much custom wood. SBT has some RI stuff and RM stuff but as far as made in ME, haven't seen it.

I met a guy on a cod trip that makes custom plugs named Scott Sargent. He gave me one and showed me a few others - nice stuff. Not sure if he's the "older gentleman" you're looking for, but I know he's from Maine. I'll give you his number if you want

well I met this guy down the cape and he was using some cool top water stuff while I was fly fishing,,, I know this is kinda silly but thats all I remember was this spook type plug he was using walked perfect where you couldn't mess it up and the fish slammed it.

he said this was from an older guy in ME that does each one by hand..

I'm pretty sure this plug had a name like a widow maker or angel or something that sounded like like that,,, may ring a bell with someone I hope and a friend who was with me said he thought the maker was from Vermont but I doubt it where theres no ocean there I'm pretty sure it was Maine..

a long shot...

as for those other plug makers I rather support those guys too if I can so PM me some info or links,,,, I'm using light tackle so 1oz is my max (I know some guys make them too heavy for me.

thank you for the info. T in weymouth
