I think with the size guides on the rod you would be beter off with a Penn 4500ss/5500ss or ShimanoStratic 4000/5000,

Get the new Stradic 5000, same body size as the 4000, larger spool. I am getting one this weekend.

Stradic 4000 is the smaller body - Stradic 5000 is the same body as the 6000.

John
the reels use to be that way.
Now the 4000/5000 are the same body ,a little bigger than the old 4000 but smaller than the old 5000.(I Like) and then the new 6000/ 8000 willthe same as the old 6000

You got to match the rel spool size to the first guide size. You don't want too big a reel. 4500SS , 712Z , abu 400 size , etc. too big a spool and you'll have problems.
