wow...i went to the middleboro run saturday and didn't see a single blessed fish...and i really, really looked...

i bet with 20 miles of river receiving snow melt the temps must still be too cold...

The middleboro run is about 6 miles or better up streem . The wareham run is less than 1/4 mile to the bay

JJ - did you check down stream a bit at the Old Mill, or just at the center run. Last year on this date I saw them further down....

Ok fellas, no BS

I was down the Cape for a weekend with the honey and I swear I saw a few splashes about 3:00 Sunday afternoon in the canal. I figured my eyes were playing tricks on me or I happened apon some Macks on top. 20 minutes later I drive by the Herring run on the Canal and there were about 9 or ten people, not together starting down over the fence into the run. It sure looked like they were looking at something not just taking a casual peek.

Probably birds diving....some small ducks will splash under and at a quick glance it seems like a fish

GUYS! RELAX! You all know damn well that we have at least 3 weeks until the runs really start humming. And the bass will not be here in big numbers until Tax day (and that's optimistic). Hate to be That Guy but someone has to!

Guys - Canalman is right.. We see this every year with some of the runs getting active in February... Second week of March is not usual or unusual at all. Last year was a later start than the past few.

Important to remember these fish are just heading in but YES IT'S A GOOD SIGN

Here was a thread from last year on the herring!
