Who's ready for this storm
and what have you done to prepare?

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

I had lots of water on hand. I had food I could eat cold. I had my gas stove that works without electricity ready (to me this is a must have in our cold winter wonderland). I had my hand crank AM/FM/SW radio ready. Hurricane lamp full of oil.
What i didn't have....
I tried getting a standbye generator a couple of years ago (actually ordered it and paid for it but then it never shipped) but that eventually fell through and by the time I realized it was not coming in it was good weather again and I said the heck with it. Maybe considering a small generator just to run the fridge and central heat every 8 hours or so to make sure nothing freezes in the end of the house away from the NG space heater and to save the expensive stuff in the freezer. No real need for continuous power but an hour every so often would be nice. Next thing I will get is a little battery TV.
