Does any one out there have the cordiero book on flatwings? I am thinking of buying it. Is it worth it I would like to be able to tie flatwings better. I have the first abrhams book striper moon. thanks for any advise that you have charlie
i don't have Joes book but it's pretty much the same as Kens book.Kens other book" A Perfect Fish illusions in fly tying" [which I do have ] is more or less all tying instructions and fishing technique of his flatwings.Take a look at this one. This is not a knock on Joe.
saltfly, I have ordered it from JOE,for my Sons birthday, JOE is the only one KENNY ENDORCES to tie his flys. Joe has some great pattern he created also. should have it in a few day got the HARD COVER. as it is a GIFT. KNOWLEDGE of tying different patterns is never ending dont limit your self to ONE tyer, there are a great number of guys tying out there. take the knowledge for them all an increase your tying skills.
GOOD LUCK GOOD TYIN
salty , decided to get the book I saw it for sale on the website Make your own photo book with Blurb they have three prices for the book. which one did you buy? do you know which editions are in color. I dont care if its a soft cover or hard cover but I want color illustrations thanks charlie
saltydog.I recommended Kens book because he more or less pioneered that style and published it.I've attended 6or7 classes held by Ken,Ken&Joe,and Joe alone.I learned something "new" every time.I've never limited myself to one tyer or style. My basement and bookcase[and wallet] is a testement to keeping an open mind to the "old and new" in the world of tying, rod building, and fishing.
saltfly, I understand it's good that you recomended it. being new, Id say the more he reads an see's the better understanding he woud have in tying FLATWINGS.
So you have a lot of STUFF
will we be having a YARD SALE SOON
GOOD LUCK GOOD TYIN
