Might be going to catch some cod with toby. Probably gonna stick in the CT/RI area... the catches from the Frances and the Hel-Cat don't sound so hot..

Two day show for me behind a rubber booth at the Marine USA dealership in Worcester. Won't be bad tomorrow, but when that 60 degree weather hits Sunday, I'll be wishing I was somewhere else.

I was sitting here reading the weekend post and was wondering why no one was talking about the MSBA show I have two friends meeting me there tomorrow Then all of the sudden I said Sh$# Its next week Had to call my budys and tell them it was next week. Now I have nothing to. I had the show on the mind.

I've already cooked 500# of corned beef, another 5 to go.
Tomorrow off, going to old landlord's 50th bday party @ Maggiano's Little Italy, then home to bed.
Sunday and Monday will be like Mother's Day at my little Irish pub, thank God, I need the money.
Wish I could go to the MSBA show, but time constraints dictate no.
Have Fun Guys,
Love,
Corned Beef Rick

PS- Bazza, wish I was going with you to the Hill, I used to play for those guys a little every year until Garber would thin down the squad.
Is Young Ted still the coach, he and I were pretty tight back in the day.
Later,
Gorilla Rick

Iceboat Dragsters
I would have posted what I was doing this weekend earlier except I was already doing it when this thread was started. Traveled up rt 89 early early Friday in VT to beautiful lake Champlain to witness up close and personal nine $30,000 plus Skeeter class iceboats duel it out on a four by five mile plate of ice rink smooth ice. These things sound like jets going by when its windy. The weather was 'almost' perfect. I say almost as we could have used a touch more wind. Light winds delayed the start on Saturday when this photo was taken. When the windmeter hit 7 mph they decided to give it a go. During the race the wind was clocked at 4-5 mph and at the same time the boats were radared going 45 mph. That is ten times the speed of the wind. WOW. If only the wind was going 15 mph they would have been going 150mph. Yikes. I will be back in two years when they have this event up there again for sure!
Not a bad way to wrap up the season. The fat lady is about to sing and it will be time to fish!
