Camper on the beach questions?

As some of you know, I sold my CC. I am feeling a lot stronger since it looks like the Big C is in remission. I am thinking about buying a C class camper for the Back Beaches and a small boat for Narr Bay in May and June for the bunker.

Here is my question. I ran the Back for 20+ years but always in a 4WD truck. I know the campers go on the beach with 2WD. I know they air down and have tandem rear wheels. Exactly how is it they do not get stuck? With the tandems, how much do you air down? 8 to 10PSI like the 4WDs?

Before I spend the cash on a camper I'd like to understand exactly how this is accomplished.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I think you would be alot better with a truck camper and a big 4x4 truck Just my opinion, I have found that my 80 pound tires did not operate well that low and would spin on the rims. When I drove with my camper I ran 20 front and 25/30 rear

Piemma...Wendy and I just bought a 1994 32 foot Class A Motorhome to restore (the travelling surfcaster must travel). We are about about to put our 1998 Lance Truck Camper in which we ran the race all this season up for sale...requires 1ton pup or 3/4 with some rigging...Truck Campers are much better drivers on the Race but both Class C and Class A make it no problem with modification and some acquired skills.

I was going to say the same thing, werent you giving up fishing and only playing golf last year?

I need a Block Island buddy, suck it up and get a bigger boat and we can ride out there. I heard 40s and 50s jump up and land in your boat. Its so easy they even hit plugs!

Listen you 2 characters, I spent a LOT of years with all my money going to family, schools, trumpet lessions, jewelry and relatives.

I finally have my house paid for and a couple of bucks to spend on my toys. So leave me alone and let me make some stupid purchases.

i cant think of anything dumber than buying a bigger boat! Come on, go for it!

Think of how slick you'll look in a nice 24' CC snagging bunker among the canoes, tin boats and barges in the Prov. river.
