He looks pissed off at you too!

I learned to fish with a conv but rarely use them anymore, spinners have advanced to become very reliable with excellent drags . Don't force him to fish with something that is difficult for the sake of being "old school". Granted if you need to throw 10 oz of lead a conv will be better...but a 2 oz plug..get him his own quality spinner.

Pic of me when I was 8: (circa 1964 or so...when spinning reels REALLY sucked))

I've never used a conventional and don't know the pros vs. cons. Spinners have always been my reel.

Does your incessant whining make you feel better? How about you just shut the hell up and suck it up? It's a fishing forum , so please just stop.

It's a russian military hat with fold down earflaps.

Sticks were his needlefish plugs or so he told me. He said he is starting a collection like dads

And yes, he took a que ball to the head tonight at the ocean mist by an unruly patron who was drunk on Ginger ale.. He took it well
