Tiger Maple Needles and 2 Pencils
I recently fired up my spindle lathe and turned some maple needles (and 1 cherry), some pencils and Musso Dannies
2 of the pencils are sinkers and the other 4 are floaters
I wired the needles and pencils today and just epoxied in the metal lips on the Dannies
I am looking forward to Plugfest in Feb and will bring several Tiger maple needles to trade.
Time to get the Etex and my spinner going

Mike- I've been using the Danny you made on your duplicator as my template and making several near copies the old fashioned way... in both pine and AYC...
I will bring a mess of Tiger needles to plugfest

Wow, they look great! Set a pencil aside for me. I'll be coming to plugfest with OD Mike and I'm gonna trade you one of his plugs for one of yours, since I don't have the time or room to make any plugs before then.

Looks like you've been busy. Let me know when you want me to come by for some painting. I'll bring the beer.

I plan on picking up some pine soon and turn away some other styles of plugs that worked well for us this year. I'm thinking we won't be painting until late January.....

No problem. Maybe I'll bring Jason by soon so he can ransack your garage while we have a beer. Are you taking requests for new styles to build or is your list already complete?
By the way, the cod was excellent.

Very nice, Chris. I see it's got my name on it.

When I first started to make plugs I made everything in pine! So I will be making everything in pine again. Its cheap, easy to work with, takes on sealer well and did I mention CHEAP. Last time I bought blanks, it was $20 bucks for 100 blanks!
