RTF is probably the greatest assembly of musicians I have seen. Operative word being seen. Al is definitely the most impressive guitarist I have seen, both with RTF and his own band. He would just be playing effortlessly and scanning the crowd, and then would close his eyes and tilt his head down and just blow you away. Saw that about 30 years ago for the first time, and I remember it like it was last week.
