Almost hit one at work the other night. Stupid bird was "sleeping" right on a small pile of snow the plow left behind in the middle of the elementary skool driveway. I got out to try to take a picture but it actually flew away. Figured it was frozen to the snow or sumthin'

Nope...sorry...

I've yet to see a long-legged bed-thrasher on the Lower Tems Flyway yet, the first true sign of Spring

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.

On Sunday, we saw an osprey at the intersection of Tupper Rd and 6-A in Sandwich, over by the power lines running from the Canal power plant.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.
